Flat fee gets you listed. It doesn't get you sold.
THE SHORT ANSWER
A flat fee MLS service charges a one-time fee — typically a few hundred dollars — to place your home on the MLS. That's all it does. Pricing, photos, showings, contracts, negotiation, and closing are yours. Glide is not flat fee, and we'll show you exactly where each option wins: our I'll handle it plan charges a percentage of the sale price, paid only at closing — never upfront — and it adds a pricing report, offer management, the Utah contracts, and a licensed team behind you.

Flat fee pricing is illustrative — entry-only MLS services in Utah typically charge a few hundred dollars, with add-ons extra. Glide's fee is 1% of the final sale price or $4,500, whichever is greater, payable at closing. Listing fees are negotiable.
Where each one wins
Flat fee wins……on upfront price, when your sale goes perfectly: priced right, clean offer, no contract trouble
Glide wins……when anything gets complicated — and only charges you if you actually close

We won't pretend flat fee is a scam — for a confident seller with an easy home to price, it can work. But it's a bet that nothing goes sideways on the largest transaction of your life, paid whether you sell or not. A Glide plan is the same MLS listing with the safety net included, and it's only due when your home actually sells.
No. Glide charges a percentage of the final sale price — 1% on the I'll handle it plan, with a $4,500 minimum — payable only at closing. If your home doesn't sell, you don't pay the listing fee. Flat fee services charge upfront, whether or not your home sells.
Do flat fee listings show up on Zillow and Redfin?+
Yes. Once a home is on the MLS, it syndicates to Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com the same way as any listing. What differs is everything after the listing goes live: pricing, showings, contracts, negotiation, and closing are all yours.
What does a flat fee listing typically cost?+
Entry-only MLS placement typically runs a few hundred dollars, paid upfront. Many services charge extra for price changes, extensions, yard signs, lockboxes, and contract help — so read the add-on list before you buy.
Can I switch from a flat fee service to Glide?+
Often, yes. If your flat fee listing is still active, check its terms first — then talk to the team. Sellers commonly switch after a few quiet weeks, when they want pricing help and a licensed team on offers and contracts.
Who handles buyer agents with a flat fee listing?+
You do — every call, showing request, and offer comes straight to you, and you negotiate with the buyer's agent yourself. With Glide, the team manages offers and paperwork; you make the decisions.
